Conventional Charge
The daily energy consumption of your equipment determines the type of chargers required. The conventional charge is perfect for you if you use your battery on a single 8 hour shift. The conventional charger is used to fully charge a battery after it has been discharged to a maximum of 80% of its rated power. The rule of three-eights is recommended with this type of charger: – 8 hours of charging, – 8 hours of rest, – 8 hours of use

Opportunity and Fast Charge
If you plan to work more than one shift, either Opportunity Charge or Fast Charge chargers should be considered. As the name suggests, the main difference between the charging modes is the the more or less rapid charge rate of the battery.
The Opportunity Charger offers maximum performance with exceptional energy efficiency and minimizes operating costs. The main advantage is the possibility to use them both in conventional and opportunity charging with the same energy efficiency.
Opportunity and fast charging are done while the battery is still on the electric forklift truck, during a pause or stop period, so it cannot be used during the charging time. With a power factor close to 1, the high-frequency technology used provides an efficient, precise and constant charging curve that is programmable for opportunity or rapid charging.

- The battery designed for rapid charging includes modifications to improve electrical conductivity, communication with the charger and sensors for electrolyte and heat management. Its useful life is shorter than the battery with conventional charging, as the traditional charging cycle is shortened.
